Porcelain & Ceramics Talks with Ricky Pound Part of the London Open House Festival

Join House Manager Ricky Pound on September 12 and 19 as he explores the history of porcelain and its fascinating journey from East to West. Using examples from the museum’s collection—spanning the early 18th to the late 19th century—the talk highlights Chinese export porcelain, Meissen, and Wedgwood.

About the Local Connection The museum has deep historical ties with the Twining family, who lived at nearby Dial House from around 1722 until 1889 and once owned 25 The Embankment. Thomas Twining, founder of the famous tea brand, is buried with his wife directly across the road at St Mary’s Church.
