Twickenham marked its official Charter Day on 22 September 1926, celebrating its transition from an urban district council to a municipal borough. Charter Day was celebrated with major civic pride, local events, and community gatherings.

There is currently a small display in the museum to commemorate the centenary of Charter Day.
